Opened in 2016, our 38-000 sq. ft. machine shop is certified with the American Bureau of Shipping and offers general machine work, propeller shaft construction and repair, rudder shaft, steering components, water jetting of parts, and specialized pump and propeller repair.
Houma Machine and Propeller also maintains one of the area’s most comprehensive sales inventories of new propellers for tug boats, offshore supply vessels, fishing boats, and yachts.

Our Team Leaders
Nick Theriot, General Manager
Houma Machine & Propeller Machine Shop Manager Nick Theriot is a graduate of South Terrebonne High School and Fletcher Technical Community College with an Associate Degree in Drafting and Design. He has 22 years of machine and fabrication experience, and has worked at Main Iron Works and Houma Machine & Propeller since 2016.
Christopher Hebert, Propeller Shop Foreman
A native of Houma, Houma Machine & Propeller Sales and Service Manager Christopher Hebert grew up fishing and hunting with his grandfather and uncles. While a college student in computer science, Christopher worked part-time in a propeller machine shop, where he learned valuable skills and a passion for the business. He joined Houma Machine & Propeller when it opened in 2016. His experience has guided him in adopting a unique and effective method of straightening to minimize vibrations and issues with performance.
